This includes valuable access to satellite-based Earth observation technologies, enabling precise environmental monitoring, as well as helicopter assets, offering rapid aerial inspections and accurate verification.
Empowered by these cutting-edge tools, chosen initiatives will have the unique capability to tackle major societal challenges—ranging from reversing ecological damage and enhancing water resource security to managing risks related to natural disasters. Ultimately, this collaborative effort aims to drive forward actionable solutions, employing sophisticated technologies such as satellite-driven environmental monitoring systems, and effectively paving the way toward a more sustainable, resilient future.
Solar Impulse Foundation will leverage its expertise to recognize, evaluate, and advance nature-based solutions with maximum impact potential. Beginning 1 April, the Airbus Foundation and Solar Impulse Foundation will invite project proposals aimed at leveraging advanced aerospace technology to enhance nature-based solutions. Successful projects will receive €10,000 in initial funding, along with direct support from technical experts to amplify their effectiveness and accelerate results.
